Beyond

The Miracle Series Book 1

Given life before the worldwide pandemic of COVID. I started seeing miracles happening all around me but realized most of the time I was too busy to see them for what they are. Moving too fast to thank God for the big and the small.

My daughter Avery. has struggled most of her life with allergies and asthma. I have seen miracles in Avery’s health, but I am still contending for her total and complete healing. Grace, the main character in Beyond is loosely based on the journey of Avery’s health.

My desire for you in this series is to point people back to the miracle-working God we serve. I pray those who read this book and series will be filled with new hope and redefined purpose.

The Miracle Series Book 2

Summer had ended with me being unconscious, and seventh grade was halfway done by the time I came out of my coma. The holidays and winter months were spent strengthening my physical body, which took a while. Getting my mind right took even longer. Relearning everything was harder than I could’ve imagined.

Each time I visited the hospital for another therapy session, I walked past the room I had once stayed in, peeking in as I slowly walked past. A man is in the room now. I learn from overhearing the nurses talking that his name is Steve. I have never seen Steve have any visitors. His room is white and sterile, and he doesn’t have any cards or flowers wishing him well.

My mind starts wandering. As we continue with my therapy, I begin to imagine all of the different scenarios that could’ve put Steve here. I set a reminder in my mind to see if I can find out more about him online when I get home.

As my mom and I leave the hospital after therapy, I pass by Steve’s room and say to myself in a low voice, “I will be back soon to bring hope.”
