In the Bible linen is a symbol of righteousness. The definition of righteousness found in Mirriam-Webster is acting in accord with divine or moral law: free from guilt or sin.

The Proverbs 31 woman walked upright. She was genuine and excellent. It is an attribute of God that she reflects well.

She is righteous because she “sells them.” The root word of sell can also mean surrender. The Proverbs 31 woman was found righteous because she surrendered. How often is it that when we surrender in the place that we are in that is when God moves.

God looks at our hearts. There is none that is righteous, no not one, besides Jesus. But God in His infinite wisdom as he draws us in asks us to surrender all that we are to receive all that is. It is a great exchange.
