This passage in Deuteronomy is a song of Moses for the Israelite people. God has always been faithful, but the Bible shows us that often the Israelites would get impatient and move in their own strength instead of waiting on the Lord.

Doing things in their own strength and timing never worked out very well for the Israelites. Verse 13 describes how God guided and provided for their journey in the wilderness.

God used the supernatural provision to abundantly provide for Israel. Moses was reminding God’s people about the nature of the God they serve.

Provision. Provision. Provision. God reminds us of his provision when all we can see are the waste places. When we lose our hope, allow God to draw us back into His faithfulness.
