God desires us to be loyal and dependant on Him. In Deuteronomy 8 Moses is reminding the Israelites to remember the Lord their God. Moses expresses concern about the Israelites history.

When there is abundance it weakens the Israelites resolve to trust in God. You would’ve thought by the time the Israelites got to the promised land that they would’ve realized that their provision comes from the goodness of their God. Their success or destruction being completely dependant on God.

Our God is a miracle-working, personal, sovereign God. He is righteous and just. His ways are always good. Sometimes when things are good we have less need of God. This couldn’t be further from the truth. Whether you have much or little may your heart posture stay the same. Open. Pressing into what the Father desires for this day.
