Our plans and purposes were designed for us by God at the beginning of time. He thought of us. He carefully created each piece to your unique puzzle. He calls us his masterpiece. Only you can do the things the creator has planned for you to do. There, at the beginning of creation, his plans and thoughts were of you. He sees not only where you are right now, but also what is to come for you. The Lord uses the trials of life to refine his plans and purposes in you. When we seek Him with a deep longing we will find him. He promises to meet us where we are at. He will be there to bring us his peace. It is a peace that passes all understanding.
The Lord’s plans and purposes for us are potential. Like receiving a gift on your birthday. If you are happy and satisfied with the beautiful wrap and bow of the package, the surface of the gift, then you will never unwrap the full expression of the gift inside. Spiritual gifts are no different. We have to come to the end of ourselves, which feels like all of us being stripped away, being unwrapped, through the trial and allowing the Lord to show us how to use our gift.
During the Babylonian exile, the people were going through pain, discomfort, and torture under their new king, but God spoke “For I know the plans and thoughts that I have for you,’ says the Lord, ‘plans for peace and well-being and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call on Me and you will come and pray to Me, and I will hear [your voice] and I will listen to you.” God spoke this specifically to the Israelites to bring them hope and peace during their trial. Because we know who God is, we can trust in our trials He has a plan for us.
It begins here by putting our hope in him. Call on him during your trial; he promises to meet you, and help you unwrap the gifts he has created inside you at the beginning of time.
Jeremiah 29:11-14 AMP
For I know the plans and thoughts that I have for you,’ says the Lord, ‘plans for peace and well-being and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. 12 Then you will call on Me and you will come and pray to Me, and I will hear [your voice] and I will listen to you. 13 Then [with a deep longing] you will seek Me and require Me [as a vital necessity] and [you will] find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. 14 I will be found by you,’ says the Lord, ‘and I will restore your fortunes and I will [free you and] gather you from all the nations and from all the places where I have driven you,’ says the Lord, ‘and I will bring you back to the place from where I sent you into exile.’
Ephesians 2:10 AMP
10 For we are His workmanship [His own master work, a work of art], created in Christ Jesus [reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, ready to be used] for good works, which God prepared [for us] beforehand [taking paths which He set], so that we would walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us].
